Garten.

This piece was first shown at Fools With Tools at Firehouse 13 in Providence, RI July 2008. The Olympia was a gift from metalsmith Josh Oftedahl, and the plant/soil was found at Young Farm in Little Compton, RI. The German typewriter was gutted and repurposed as a planter. The parts were used for components in jewelry work. The keys have been rearranged to spell “Garten,” the German word for garden.

This piece is part of a private collection, but custom commissions are a possibility.

Autobiography.

This piece was first shown at Bannister Gallery in Providence, RI in May 2005. The Remington Noiseless was a gift from metalsmith Sondra Sherman, and the space bar was hand engraved by George Beattie. Images are set and photo-etched in brass, and certain keys have been cast in brass. The keys have been ground away to create unintelligable type when struck.

This piece is part of a private collection, but custom commissions are a possibility.

Typebar Bling.

This gallery piece was first shown at the Fools With Tools show at Firehouse 13 in Providence, RI July 2008. The chain is patinaed silver and the typebar is taken from a German typewriter that is featured in the originaltypewriter planter entitled Garten.

Hammered brass wire earrings with Sterling Silver earhooks. They are light as a feather, though they make a large statement. Each pair is unique and hugs the face with organic curves. They are roughly 2-3”. Sizes may vary slightly, as each piece is unique.

These delicate Sterling Silver Drop Earrings are hand filed and brushed for smooth, organic edges. They hang gently, catching the light with a sanded finish.
